After assembly, everything works perfectly and looks very good. I was installing an overhead projector for a non-profit organization on a low budget and figured this conduit would work and cost a lot less than the name brand products I usually use. And I was able to get it working, but it probably took me an extra two hours to install. It looks good enough for what it is and the parts are uniformly molded. It comes with all the corner adapters and splice caps you might need, so you don't have to look for them separately. But the parts are pretty short - about 17 inches long. This means a lot more fit and fit than branded ones that come in 5ft sections and if you know where to look, in 10ft sections. But of course personalized items are much more expensive and finials don't usually come in a kit. I installed some parts on the ceiling and the rest on the wall. For each part I used double-sided tape AND mounting screws. I didn't use the included anchors - they are junk. I've replaced the screw anchors where I need them: they work great. Cables (power cords and fairly durable HDMI cables) can pull the cover out of the cable channel just from their weight. I haven't had this problem with other brands of cable grooves. This is fixable though - just secure the cable with a P-clamp. at each end of the ceiling purlin and holds the cable well enough to hold the cover in place. As the title suggests: it took some extra effort, but the job was done and the finished work looks pretty good. Will I use it again? Probably not, unless my financial resources were very limited. (I only charge for materials when I work for a nonprofit, but I still value my work.)
