Review on Capezio Toddler Little Teknik Ballet Girls' Shoes: Perfect Dance Footwear for Young Performers by Daniel Spear

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Street size 8w = ballet size 10EE. Go up a size if you don't mind buying a new pair for your fast growing child.

My daughter wears street size 8M/8W. She tried on these ballet flats from a ballet studio rental and they fit her in size 10EE. I ordered 10.5E, not EE, and she had about 0.5-0.75 inches left in her fingers. Then we tightened it with laces and it fit perfectly. There is very little space left. I decided to return them and buy a half size larger. For reference, she wears "wide" shoes during the rite of passage. And EE fitted perfectly, as did E. A handy feature of ballerinas is the drawstring, which allows you to adjust the tightness of the shoes. This is useful if your child has wide/narrow feet. The head of her studio said you could go up a size, which my daughter eventually achieves. She is 3 years old and in her first ballet/tap class. The extra room in their shoes won't affect tech that much. I'm more worried about the slippers. I gave this product 3 stars for the convenience of sizing (the size chart on Amazon isn't very helpful). I had to read dozens of reviews to choose 2 sizes. I hope we return only one pair. Thanks to Amazon's free return policy. It helps a lot. When a 3 month old and a 3 year old travel, things don't usually go smoothly. I'd rather browse the internet than stroll through overpriced shops. The color is ballet pink, same as the photo, cute shoes. Hopefully the "daisy" style fits as well as I ordered instead after returning these. They didn't have 11E in stock.
