Edit: I found out that the problem is called "crosstalk" and is related to the transmission of audio signals across a common ground. This isn't unique to this device, but I'm leaving my review as a warning as this is most likely to happen when using headphones instead of powered speakers. Generally, if you run into a problem, the workaround is to try isolating the connections, e.g. B. by connecting your headphones with USB audio as input to the headphone jack on your laptop. I bought one of these a few months ago and it seemed to work great. That's why it doesn't automatically get a star. I even ordered a 2nd one. I use them in church to broadcast our service. I play video or remote audio through the speaker output and bring room audio into the microphone input. And then I monitor the stream through my laptop's own headphone jack. But a few weeks ago I got a new laptop and was having trouble getting the laptop's headphones to work. I didn't have anything to play, so I used this unit's speaker to monitor the stream. Next thing I know I'm getting complaints about a 30 second echo lag in the stream. Find out. The audio from my YouTube monitor leaked into the input. After some additional testing, I confirmed that this happens even when NOTHING is connected to the microphone. I also verified this on two different laptop brands. Unfortunately this is not an option. Input and output must be 100% isolated. I return the 2nd. I will find out about the guarantee on the 1st.
