Ok SORRY, my life has changed so much thanks to this kitchen gadget, I'm so happy! I got it a few months ago and my first impression was that I was surprised and a little disappointed at how big it is (about the length of my forearm) when I expected it to be just a minor highlight. But I used it tonight to grate some hard parmesan cheese and OH WOW GUYS ARE YOU FUN? The black extension at the end makes it stand out from any surface it's sitting on, so you can hold a pen or just put it on the counter when you're feeling lazy. I started grating cheese, and while I was expecting it to take as much time and effort as my grating block, which I really have to stick my back in, I suddenly ended up with a pile of grated cheese the size of my fist instead . light pieces of cheese. I can't wait to use this tool on lemons. I was worried about cleaning it as it seemed bulky when I first got it, but a few swipes with my washcloth and I was done. Maybe it's stupid, but I have very strong feelings for this zester. I love it!
