I may have ordered at the wrong time as all the reviews were great but here is my personal take on what we got: The design is vibrant and well and evenly distributed on each shirt - a professional quality application has been used. I can't tell if it's a very thick inked screen print or a heat pressed laminated vinyl, but I'm pretty sure it's a very thick inked screen print - whatever it is, it's thick and doesn't mix with the shirt. alone, so I definitely didn't expect it to last a couple of washes before peeling/cracking/wearing out. I did a little pull test to measure the paint boundary before it cracked/peeled/peeled and it flexed well with no immediate signs of tearing or shirt ripping, which is good. (You definitely need to turn the shirt inside out to wash and machine wash cold/tumble dry on low heat.) Actually, all shirts were GILDEN youth sizing. I personally hate the size and fit of gold shirts because they are always baggy and short, which doesn't work for most kids, especially after a few washes. They shrink but the width stays the same: 4 out of 5 shirts are a tight blend and 1 is a different cut, but all don't match the overall length and width - another reason for the lower rating. It is likely that the shirts were bought in bulk at a discount since none of the shirts obviously passed the quality check for full price gold price shirts. The basis of my 3 star rating is basically knowing that after a few wears/washes they won't last much longer and for the price I would expect the designs and shirts to be more store quality earlier than that what you would do order at a craft store/etsy. Again, maybe I'm just unlucky - in any case I need to start swapping them out now as the sizes don't work because they're too big for a normal sized kid and the length is too short (they're narrower to a 7 in the Length). /8 and they are closer to 12/14 in width so there is a significant difference you can see, I hope this review will help other parents decide what sizes they need!
