Review on πŸ”§ Milton 760 1 MNPT Style Steel: Durable and Reliable Fittings for Hassle-Free Plumbing Solutions by Robert Sisco

Not recommended for anything other than very easy to use tools.

I would love these high flow steel plugs but they don't last long. In less than a month I've gone through 7 of the 10 in this box. All because of spinning tires. It requires you to convert all hoses and tools to this high-flow style, and it's not worth the compromise. It would be if they continued, but that's just not the case. Customer service thought I might abuse them. I'm an ASE certified master technician and have never had a problem with other connectors and plugs. Her suggestion: Just get the wire into the hose, which I have never used in my 10+ years at the dealership. I first tried aluminum colored end caps and high capacity couplers and decided that soft aluminum was the culprit. I swapped it out for a steel cork but it still wore out. I swapped out the aluminum clutch for brass, but it still eats candles. All the damage to the plugs was caused by a short, not very powerful 1/2" impact wrench which I use almost exclusively for turning tires. Aluminum showing the wear that is present on the steel plug but heavier too in the picture These plugs and connectors are great for ultra light things like inflating tires, but I think it defeats the purpose.
