My Doberman, Mavis, became completely paralyzed a few weeks ago after a series of falls around the house. We had to make some lifestyle changes and one of those changes involved buying these paw grips. I live in the desert so I don't have to deal with them getting wet but the fabric does fray quite easily and sometimes I find that sand from the yard gets on the adhesive and she ends up losing them. She has also been known to chew some of these at night. Luckily I found her and it doesn't look like she swallowed them. In short, they work great and give her the traction she needs so I don't have to worry about her falling over again. I can use them 1-2 days. I cut them into individual parts and usually every day I have to change the grips, but not the whole set, just the missing ones. But even if there are several handles left on a paw that offer enough support, I don't have to hold them fully. A lot comes packaged, so I think it's good value for money. I like to sit down and cut them up into individual pods when I first receive a package. If I have to sit down to replace some of them, it doesn't take long.
