First, all felting needles are fragile and will lose their sharpness or break over time. This little tool saves me so much time because I get 3x more work at once. What I Learned: I broke one of the needles while going through the already dense part of my product. = I don't have the same feedback with this tool as when using a single needle. I couldn't tell the density was too high for the needle. I took out the broken needle and then continued with just two needles. (Maybe I should have gone to bed after clicking the first needle.) Well, the piece I'm working on has wire reinforcement, but I'm so used to going through the wool so easily that I'll start to put in more effort than before. . I usually use one needle and I hit the wire and broke the second needle. Conclusion: I can either work really fast, which can sometimes lead to sloppiness and break my needles, or I recognize this by the fact that I get 3 times more work in one go, I still make progress moving slower and be more careful. Sometimes I don't care, like when I'm trying to add a piece and have it right there and I feel like a dumb force just to put it in there. I'll probably break most of the needles when I'm tired and it's late and I should have slept an hour ago. I will most likely be most careful when I don't have spare needles. (It's like giving up shampoo prematurely when it's a new bottle versus when you only have 1/2 inch left at the bottom of the bottle.) I'll be ordering a second one so I can have finer needles and not Having to change needles This will likely lead to fewer needle breakages as I can switch to a finer needle when I feel I've reached a certain density.
