Photo with a can of soda for the scale, folded. There is no optical zoom, digital and software zoom. Works like a plug and play camera on Windows 10. You don't get any fancy features with it, but it works. You don't need to install any software. It works well as a document camera. I can show students how to solve a problem step-by-step instead of trying to balance my webcam in a jury-rigged system. The base is stable enough that you can bend your arm pretty much any way you want to show what you're doing. The built-in light is useful, although I really wish I could adjust the lamp's intensity, sometimes it's too much for the glossy pages of a textbook. It can be folded up for transport. Very durable. You're right, but it's just not great for that. You can use it as a last resort, but it's not really meant for that purpose. The colors aren't accurate, not terrible, but not quite right.
