This is a rubber strap with a couple of metal plates. Actually I can't tell much more than that. The strap is not very tight and I find it can "break" more with use. The first (and only) day I used it I found it fell apart in my pocket. 3 different ones. Of course I am I'm a professional chef and I exercise a lot, but it's unforgivable - I could just put my credit cards, ID and wallet back in my pocket (I went back to Herschel as before, I wanted the original, Radix One, where the strip actually goes into the Plates is inserted, which prevents slipping.
