We still have a few magnetic dress up dolls from Melissa and Doug and I love this open tray case style. This set comes with a piece of wood that is split on the side so I have to try and glue it together to use the carry case. The lid requires the mermaid and dolphin to remain attached during shipping as they will not fit inside. They're pretty safe, so that shouldn't be a problem. It also has a carrying handle. It's a good size for traveling. This set has a large number of options for tails and tops, as well as some accessories. I love that the doll is flipped for a darker skin tone. There are a lot of small magnets here, so it is important to avoid accessories for children who still put things in their mouths. The child can still have fun with this - and simply put away the accessories - until it is finished or until a small child is nearby.
