I bought this to keep up with the clock on a recently rebuilt outboard to allow it to break in properly. So far so good, although the engine has only been running for 2 hours. The counter immediately flew. Others have complained that he has a loud tic. I dont know. It can be heard before starting the engine. No big deal to me. I like to know that it works and trust me, it's almost imperceptible to me. My only complaint is the silly little slider for the rear mount. I don't trust that so I drilled holes in this part and put screws in it.
