Do what they are made for!
Very strong and easy to install. It's easy enough to open the cabinets with them in place, although you have to push them down to open the cabinet. Guess what the idea is! My granddaughter can't do that. I decided a closet didn't need a lock and I was able to take it off with a hair dryer in under a minute. Don't leave the rest.
