I've never had this before, but lately I've seen so many videos online about the dangers of dryer exhaust hoses full of combustible lint that I'm getting paranoid. I moved into this house 6 years ago and the dryer came with it so I had no idea if the vents were ever cleaned, just that I never have. It seemed like a good price so I ordered it. It was very easy to piece together the length we wanted and it seems pretty solid (don't worry about it coming loose in the vent hose). I'm happy to report that I pulled some lint out of the vent hose, but nothing remotely close to the dramatic lumps I was worried about (and kind of hoping for). But at least I don't have to worry about what's down there anymore. It's definitely not something you need to use once a month or even once a year I guess so will bypass other family members and maybe a few neighbors just so I don't feel like it's a waste of money. It definitely works, I'm just not sure how many people actually have problems with dryer vents/hoses not properly removing lint to make this thing a necessity.
