The best battery connector ever!

I have a Minn Kota Riptide 80 ST 24v trolling motor like this one: On my trolling motor he was complaining about my forks. I think it was because there were four electrical plugs and none of them were labeled so it wasn't easy for them to distinguish positive from negative. He convinced me to switch to an official Minn Kota plug like this one: Minn Kota 12V Plug & Receptacle - 12 V DC 36 V DC Now I had a problem because the socket is countersunk and I always had to line up three plugs to insert and rotate them. It was such agony that I was about to return to my Ranger connector when I realized that this connector is for the battery tender. At first I was hesitant to buy this one because I couldn't see how the connector works from the picture. Now that I've got it, I'm more than satisfied. This battery connector is a good example of careful construction. There are basically two electrical connections, clearly marked positive and negative. Between the two connectors is a lightly screwed extension that fits between the two electrical connectors. The shape is wavy along one edge so the plug only goes one way. Then rotate the dial connected to the bit-like screw and it will tighten and lock the connection firmly. Please note that this is not a typical screw that requires multiple turns to secure the connection. The thread is more like a drill, so the fork only retracts a partial turn. This connector is of excellent quality and designed for harsh environments. There is also a high quality rubber plug cover in case your trolling motor is not plugged in. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for the absolute best battery connector for their trolling motor. plug works.
