Bought this to use in my office at work. I liked that you could choose a glossy or matte side. The glossy side is even more reflective than the iMac glass, so I tried sticking it with the matte side out. This reduced some of the reflections I could see on my screen from the window behind me. The filter offers a 60 degree view when sitting front and center. Outside the 60-degree range, the filter makes the screen a bit darker, but you can still easily make out what you're looking at. At a narrower viewing angle it closes the view, but if there weren't a filter you still wouldn't see anything. The filter also reduces the screen brightness by about 6 levels. The real hurdle for me is that with the filter on, there are two semi-circles of darker areas to the right and left of my screen when centered in front of the screen. screen at a distance of about 2 feet. The sides of the iMac's screen are only at the edges where viewing angles come into play unless you're sitting further away. The dark spots are very annoying and combined with the poor performance of the privacy department, the filter is sent back.
