My screen had some imperfections here and there, like small cracks in the surface and places where the wood has some rough edges. However, they are not very noticeable from a distance and the screen is a great addition to my living room. It is assembled well enough, I think it will serve me for quite a long time. I was concerned that if I moved the screen a little, the hinges would loosen. So far, however, they show no signs of wear.
