Review on ๐Ÿฆ— Zoo Med Can O' Crickets - Premium Insect Food, 1.2-Ounce (Pack of 3) by Richard Simmons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great while your pet munches on

Update again, now 5 stars. We have used them on baby bearded dragons and hand fed them to get them to switch from live food. How long it takes depends on the bearded. Even the one we thought would never switch finally switched! Growth really picked up speed after the changeover. The advantages over live food are manifold: live crickets can transmit salmonella, parasites and bite. Growth rates improved with canned crickets. The tiny crickets in these jars are pretty constant (previous update) - we've been buying them sporadically for over 2 years. The size is perfect for baby bearded dragons. And we could get them to eat it. But unlike the previous cases, only one accepted them well after eating them, the other needs to be "persuaded", and then he will not eat anything with which they are associated. The small size is perfect. The trick to feeding bearded dragons is not to take things that are too big or it could harm them. So let's focus on these little ones in a cricket can jar. Let's try a different canned food. But so far we've gone through 6 cans with the same issues. If I can't use them regularly, they don't completely solve the problem. So I'm reducing my rating to 4 stars. They are a must have for anyone wanting to work with live crickets or dubia roaches to feed baby bearded and adult bearded dragons.

Pros
  • Locked in flavor and freshness with natural juices stored in a jar.
Cons
  • Long delivery time
