Correct: We only bought this to replace the glass with a similar one that broke. Therefore, this rating does not cover the electrical part of the product. But. If you have a wall lamp with two bulbs or a bathroom lamp where the glass is fixed with a screw knob. and you broke the glass, yes that will probably work for you. The screw knob may not fit your old mount, but you probably kept it anyway, so use it. To be honest, I was surprised that you didn't have any luck getting glass replacements from fixture and lamp sellers or from major hardware stores. Glad it was available and working.
