TLDR; Hardware 9/10 (No issues other than the ridiculously placed and almost useless Bixby button - more on that below) Software: 7/10 (The real issues are still the bundling of pest add-ons like Samsung Pay.) Here it is my deal: We live in a world where personal data is business. If I trust companies with personal data and their core business is not about handling that data securely and responsibly, I will avoid sharing that data with them. There is a native hardware button on the device. If you choose not to use this service, the button now serves to distract you from whatever you were trying to do before you accidentally pressed the button. Its location is almost opposite the most used button on the device - the lock/home button. Disabling this feature isn't easy, after all you can, but is it even necessary? If it wasn't for that damn Bixby button. I would definitely give this device 5/5 stars. Corporate decisions to put the button front and center (or even have hardware directing you to use their services) not only caused me to regret my purchase but eventually walked away from Samsung. Conclusion: Samsung should have focused on the hardware.
