Pre-Trip Review + Post-Trip Review

This retractable mosquito net will be a welcome companion on your upcoming trip to Indonesia. I plan to spray it with feverfew before I go and when I use it I plan to strap it to the bed with bandages. I have already practiced setting up and folding with the help of YouTube videos. I plan to practice more before using it on my trip and will update this review when I come back. **************** This is my update after the trip. Due to lack of time I did not have time to spray my net with pyrethrum before leaving and without this precaution all went well. Most of the time I slept on beds larger than chicken wire and tied the corners to hotel sheets with thongs. On the web, I used a sarong or my Dreamsack as a bed sheet, along with my inflatable travel pillow in a silk travel pillowcase. I also took my iPad online to read and have an alarm clock. Having only one side with the zipper was fine because I could align the zippered side with any sensible side of the bed. Initially, the net was difficult to unroll, coil and repackage. However, after a few uses, the wire came loose and spooling became easier. I was able to fit it in my medium sized suitcase, that was the last thing I put it in. The mesh, zip and lightweight case lasted all three weeks of my trip and saved me from being bitten by mosquitoes at night, even in hotels that didn't have screens or air conditioning. To keep mosquitoes out of the web I always tried to unzip it at night after waking up. I didn't use this net every night during my 3 week trip so I wouldn't say she exercised much. But it convinced me and I recommend it, especially in this price range.
