This is just a pyrex baking pan which I bought to replace ones I broke and have used for lasagna before. "There's nothing special about it, but that's how it's supposed to be. You can probably find the same item a bit cheaper elsewhere, but other than that I have no criticisms and would recommend it to others. Pyrex holds up to abrasive pads fairly well (but I wouldn't recommend steel wool), which is important because over time you'll be baking on grease etc. You shouldn't cook with it on the stove either; This is for oven use. I'm guessing it's a "gift" but a 2 piece set that includes a smaller square bowl might be better for it.
