The upper/lower wing nuts attach to the bracket studs (supplied) and the bracket must be attached to the junction box. Unfortunately, the bracket must be attached to the side of the electrical box, while most boxes have mounting holes at the top and bottom. It would be better if the thumbscrews were on the sides.
