I used the RG-59 cable that came with the antenna I bought. The cable is what you get in the kit (Antenna, Bracket, Cable). thin HF insulation and copper-free center core. In other words, not the best cable. My CBS station is 56 miles away. I had some dead pixels on this transmitter (and other transmitters) and sometimes my dashcam could not play back my recording due to low signal strength. After replacing this cable, my CBS station and other low signal channels came up without pixelation. . My CBS recordings are also recorded without the DVR/tuner complaining about low signal strength. Finally, in my version, all the channels I get look brighter and better focused (less blurry). This is a top RG-6 cable. Quad Insulation. solid copper core in the middle. There is no better brand than this. This is what you need when setting up an OTA system. PS I used about 35 feet of this cable. It is connected to DVR/Turner Revain Fire Recast. My antenna is Mohu Sky 60.
