Original Review: Everything has worked well to date. I connected my laptop to the dock (this adapter was connected to the laptop dock for my lenovo t450) and the third display didn't show up. Look at the plug adapter and the indicator is off. Unplug and plug back in, nothing. Plug in my other spare adapter I accidentally bought (HDMI version of the same device) and it turns on right away. Only problem, my monitor is not HDMI! So I lost $80 because I can't get it back now. because you know if it lasts 30 days, Amazon thinks it will last forever! 4/29/20 Updated review: The company contacted me and sent me a replacement free of charge. I've put off writing a review for a few months as I wasn't sure how long the new one would last but it's been used Monday to Friday for about 6 months and is holding up very well. Upgraded to 4 stars (it would be 5 but the first one died. Maybe not everyone in China makes it?) 10/12/20 last update: the second one died today. I have a theory that whatever circuit they use in these things is buggy. Because the company name is "pluggable", but apparently you can only "plug" them a few times before they break. If you have a laptop dock that you frequently disconnect and reconnect, DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM. If your docking station stays connected to the network and you never touch it or turn off the power, it should be fine for a while. The sad thing is that Amazon sells a USB3.1 to Displayport adapter for $30. So yes, buy it instead.
