I bought this balm hoping it would be a good fake for Clinique Take the Day away. It's a good cleansing balm, but it's not Clinique. I have to work a lot harder and with a lot more products from this balm to remove the same amount of makeup that only took a bit of Clinique to remove. It's not that thick and thins out pretty quickly once you start rubbing it in because it doesn't constantly heat up or melt; No matter what I do, I get random hard lumps falling off my fingers or face. In addition, the lid can leak; When I take the pot out of the cupboard to use it leaves a ring of oil on my desk every time, although I wipe it down every time I use it. I have to say that I am very sensitive and allergic to many facial products. and while I don't believe this product claims to be hypoallergenic, I haven't had any reactions to it, nor have I had the blurred/blurred vision side effect that some balms can produce. I don't think I would buy it again, but even if it doesn't quite work for me, that doesn't mean it won't work for someone else!
