I really like these "fake" cameras. Nice backup until I set up my real security system. I have one on the front door, the other on the front door. At this price I will be buying two more to put on either side of my house. The size is definitely impressive (I want a potential attacker to be able to SEE these "fake" cameras from a distance. The flashing red LED is definitely visible from a distance, day or night. My goal is definitely to get everyone's attention that come close to my I don't want the overhead light to be where an intruder has to be within feet of my door to see the security cameras, I'm well aware that a skilled intruder is likely to spot that they are not real, but for a would-be burglar, I think he or she will definitely be put off and choose to go into a house where there are no cameras and lights around the house (I definitely wish that no one) intends to break into my house to change his mind and not go to my house and to another house. There is even a cord that you put in the ankle of a adjustable camera that makes it appear as if the camera is actually hardwired. This is exactly what I was looking for "at that time" I understand that if someone really wants to enter MY house, even a real camera and alarm will not stop that intruder. This is to deter someone exploring the area in search of an easy target. Hope that helps. Very easy to install, the flashing red light is highly visible day and night and stays on all the time. It doesn't have a motion detector. This isn't what I was looking for. I wanted something to always be on.
