
I only cook with cast iron and have been cooking for many years. This pan is supposed to be pre-seasoned, but I seasoned my new pan anyway. Fried bacon and I've never seen bacon sticks look so bad. After the crash it left a rusty outline where the bacon was after I washed it. Photo after I lightened the pan. I called the manufacturer and was treated rudely, saying the pan was not non-stick. When the cast iron has aged well, it becomes non-stick (if it's real cast iron and not cheaper steel). All of my other cast iron pans are non-stick. It doesn't cover two burners at once, as many reviewers have noted. My fault for not measuring. I seasoned the pan again and will try the pancakes. If wedges, I return. Although an arrogant company rep said they "don't take returns because they stick".
