Review on Melitta Junior Basket Coffee Filters by Joe Pettigrew

Heated water does not go through the filter (4-6 cups basket), a lot of water is ground in the pot. I brew my coffee in a camping coffee maker, so after brewing, I usually wait a few minutes until the filter basket is completely empty, then remove the stem and basket (containing hot, wet coffee grounds) from the pot before I use it pour. Well after waiting 3 or 4 minutes with one of these filters I pulled the basket out - it kept draining for 5 minutes! The paper was not sufficiently porous or absorbent. The filters must have been punctured at the factory with a dull blade - I had to use an exacto knife to separate them in the packaging. The edges were stupidly crumpled in the stack. Finally. My coffee tastes like cat poo. And everyone knows what IT tastes like.
