A customer here after a PGE power outage in California. At first I would have only bought 60W but it was out of stock so I bought 100W; then a day later 60 watts were available again. It can't charge anything directly, just plugs into ajackery battery power station (I have a 240. Love it). 60w is also $120 cheaper than 100w. You can understand why if you plant them side by side. There's just less. But he does his job very well. Both have a zip pocket to stow the connection cable directly on the panel. Both have stands that help the panel stand at an angle. The 100W model is more reliable with two stands than the 60W model with three parts and only one stand; However, you can place the battery behind to hold it, which also protects the battery from direct sunlight. The 100W is held closed by magnets. If you want to carry it with one hand, you need to buy a separate bag. The 60w model has clasps and is a nice little briefcase with a handle. You can carry it and the battery station comfortably with one hand. So it all depends on what you want. I installed them side by side and used the battery station as a gauge. Under the same conditions (sunny November day), a 100-watt battery delivered 63 watts, a 60-watt battery delivered 50 watts. Another time I tested it, a 60-watt panel put out 52 watts. Well done in the fading autumn sun! I keep the smaller and cheaper 60W. I like its lightness and smaller volume and I don't think there will be many occasions when I want to charge something without having the battery with me. (But like many others, I would like to see Jackery offer a plug adapter that allows charging directly from a 60W panel.) Customer service says that a 100W battery will charge faster. On an inefficient/less sunny day it would certainly make a difference. You can charge the battery and the phone or whatever separately and at the same time. This is an amazing solar panel. I'm giving it 5 stars because it's just a personal preference that I'd like something less big and heavy. I also give 60W 5 stars. And I'm very happy to have it on hand to better prepare for the next outage. Unless it happens during a winter storm, in which case any solar panel is useless - but I still have a charged battery, so I can stay fully operational for at least a couple of days.
