Review on Hamilton Beach 22796 Settings Stainless by Swami Alcaraz

I've had this toaster for a little over a month. So far, so good. This is a nice toaster and appears to be well built. I didn't want to take the risk with a non-brand name. I'm not sure if it matters these days, but I felt more comfortable working for a company with a notoriously positive reputation. All functions work as advertised. The bagel function works well. A very useful feature is the ability to push fried food past the normal setting position. I used to have to use a knife to clip food that was too low in the toaster. The opening width of the toaster is good. I have no problem putting the bagel in the slot without getting it close to the heating elements. I think the criticism in other reviews is valid, but I've never owned a toaster that didn't have this. The toasting cycle takes a while to complete, but all toasters I've had are similar. I've had a toaster that toasted faster, but on some items it toasted the outside but didn't heat the center. I think the cycle time is ok. Another problem is that it doesn't brown evenly. Without a toaster I had toast perfectly. I always set the time for a shorter interval and then rotate the toast to complete the cycle. Overall this is a good basic toaster. I've spent a lot of time looking at reviews and I'm glad I chose the right toaster given the price range. The durability is unknown at the moment. I will update accordingly.
