This window film is the lightest I've seen. I chose the rain pattern because it really looks like textured glass. Transparent but textured enough to block any view over five to ten inches. Ideal for any window where you want plenty of light but also can't see outside at night. I installed it on my bedroom windows and living room windows. I prefer lots of light, lace or sheer curtains, but lots of privacy. That was excellent. At night you only see the light from the rooms but you don't see anything at all. The cutting lines help get straight edges and the installation was the easiest I've ever experienced. And since I'm renting an apartment, I can easily remove it when I leave. It sticks firmly to the window glass, but to remove it, starting at the corner and peeling off without leaving a residue is enough as it has no adhesive backing.
