It didn't work, here's what you need to know. Comes with a plug that you will need a socket block for. I have extension cords that also have room for similar cords, so I didn't think I'd need an AC adapter. I was wrong because the connector type didn't work with my extension. I was able to find one of my apple blocks that I don't use and it worked. I plugged it in and set the temp to 77 degrees. Everything seemed to work. After 20 minutes I felt it and it wasn't warm so I increased the temp gauge to 96 (or whatever the temp is in the 90's). After 20 minutes I checked it again and it still wasn't even warm. Disappointing as I think my cat would love it.
