Excellent for moving objects in, out of and around the oven. Can also be used for hot cast iron and steam cooking. We chose this design for vapor resistance and they work well for that. My small issue with the design is that the fingers are very wide and have a seal that runs between the fingers in an unergonomic way. This means that each glove can be used alternately on both hands, but it also makes it very difficult to break off the fingers. Since you never want to drop a hot object, and I hope that doesn't happen to us, I can imagine someone with a weak grip struggling to use these gloves because of this.
