Purchased to make cord locks on the bottom of the jacket and the edge of the hood. I got this very inexpensive foldable down jacket but since I was going camping in a potentially windy area I wanted to make cord locks rather than spending a few hundred on a jacket that already had it. they looked very similar to the drawstrings on my lighter jacket (which was made with drawstrings). I used instructions from ehow.com. The end result was satisfactory and cheaper than buying another coat.
