Bought as a gift to test wiring in garage and house, small size was an advantage. The addition of mains voltage detection is a plus for the intended use. Although no accuracy tests have been performed, it is not intended for laboratory use. The maximum current measurements are quite low, but not needed for expected use. It is well made and has a high quality rubberized protective cover. The battery level indicator is also positive. As mentioned by others, the only real downside is that the probes aren't removable, so if damaged, they can't be easily swapped out. This of course saved money on more expensive plugs and connectors and allowed for a smaller device. All in all a compact combination of functions.
