I have a beautiful adult betta that developed severe fin rot over the holidays. I cut my finger badly while cooking and thought it would be ok not to change your aquarium for a few weeks to keep the cut clean - that was a really bad idea. He cut himself on a piece of jewelry and his fins deteriorated to the point where they almost completely disappeared, nearly 1.5 inches of a fin. I was devastated but after some antibiotics and a water test his fins finally started to grow back! The pellets I give him are already quite dense and tend to sink when I soak them in them, but I like to soak his freeze-dried mosquito larvae in them. They suck up almost every drop and I'm sure he's getting the vitamins he needs to grow his fins. He has never been so happy and energetic and he looks so good! I swear his fins are getting longer every day. I would 100% recommend this for all fish but especially when recovering from an injury. And don't worry if I cut myself now (I'm a very bad but equally stubborn cook) I'll drag my sister over to clean up his poop.
