This case offers an extra sense of security when diving with a GoPro. I recently used this box with a GoPro Hero 3+ Silver Edition while snorkeling in Grenada. The case worked PERFECTLY except for a small leak that was COMPLETELY my fault (the desiccant got into the gasket). I feel confident that I don't have to worry about submerging this case up to 130 feet in salt water. As with any waterproof item, the key to waterproofing is to double check and triple check all gaskets and o-rings for clogs, cracks, dirt, etc. and replace them if necessary.
