Great bag! It's not crooked. Note: There is a button placket at the top that looks like a purse with a loop. So when you open the zipper, it opens on both sides. I agree, I want stiffness and it won't fall off while you're trying to find something in it. As said, it can't be washed, so think about your habits if you get a lighter color. The side pockets are good for a regular sized smartphone and a water bottle.
