Of all the jewelry we wear, bracelets are the most at risk of snagging. Twice I've snagged the bracelet at work (I have a semi-active job) and twice the attachment ring on my lobster clasp has popped like tissue paper. I chose this tiny but strong magnetic clasp so the bracelet now comes off before any component breaks. Magnetic clasps have downsides, but the reduced likelihood of my (and client's) bracelets breaking outweighs them. I stress tested wearing bracelets with these clasps at work (8 hours total) and the clasps passed with flying colors. . Once the clasp came loose (I was wiping down a steel shopping cart) I felt it come loose immediately and refastened it quickly and easily. Use cheap electroplating methods. I used a known clear coat spray, two coats, 30 minutes. separately.
