I just got this stove so I have no experience of reliability. Adding legs was easy, only one assembly required. If you don't have an electric motor, you'll need a very strong Phillips screwdriver with a thin head and good hand strength. The flickering flame is pleasant. However, the heating fan makes a high-pitched noise, which annoys me a lot. Hearing sensitivity varies, so not everyone will respond. In addition, the sound can be "covered" somewhat by music and/or TV. But for many people, the noise would be too loud for prolonged use of the heating element. In flame mode, it is silent. Since I only bought the stove for the decorative use of flames in the guest area, I keep it to myself. But for people with sensitive hearing, I wouldn't recommend it for continuous heating mode. The manual says there are "two 25 watt bulbs with an E-as (small) base. I'll try replacing them with small base LED bulbs and report back.
