I bought to clean up my closet. I wanted something to store and sit on my jeans. Although there are grooves to secure the top, it doesn't snap into place. It comes off easily and fails if nothing is put on it. I do not recommend putting anything heavy on it. The part that hooks onto the shelf to attach it can be adjusted a bit, but you really need to put in some effort as it's not meant to be adjusted. However, it appears to be advertised as adjustable. In my opinion it is not worth the price. In hindsight I could have gotten a good solid basket for about the same price and set it aside to get the same result.
