Although the numbering is clear, the centimeter scale is not perfect. For example, instead of the mark 36 (cm) on the tape measure, you will see "60β. You then have to go back to see that you just passed 300. So you are at 300 + 60 or 360 millimeters. The problem is that "300" has the same font type and size as subsequent centimeter increments. I know, simple math. But it would be much more direct and clear to just type 36, then 37, then 38 (centimeters) or 360, 370 or 380 (millimeters). It's a cheap band so I won't bother returning it. But I won't use it either. I'm surprised a reputable company like Starrett didn't think this through more carefully.
