I've loved grilling all summer so I ordered two different sets. I ordered the ones on this site and I also order the Steven Raichlen Best of Barbecue Kabob Rack with 6 stainless steel skewers. The advantage of these over the latter is that they have wooden handles. They were very comfortable and I didn't have to constantly take gloves on and off. The only downsides I can think of are that they are 1 inch wide and I couldn't find any smaller ones. This just means that you should use large cuts of meat. I guess you can't say it's a scam because that's how they're advertised. I also think I wish they had a sheath or carrying case. rolled up for storage. That would make them perfect. I hand washed them because I didn't know if they were dishwasher safe or not. The other skewers mentioned said they were safe and ended up with rust spots. Better to be safe than sorry later. They are amazing. I would recommend them to anyone looking for good skewers. I used mine on a Bayou Classic Fold and Go Portable Grill with no grill surface. I will definitely buy these.
