This light is the perfect combination of convenience and function. Not too heavy, but packed with function. I use it clipped to the apex of my tent. I ran a power cord from it to my phone to keep my phone charged during the night. The remote control seemed gimmicky at first until I actually was using the light and wanted to zip up in my sleeping bag on a cold blustery night and I didn't have to reach up to turn off the light. the remote worked perfectly.I don't understand the flashing red light. I would have liked a steady red light for maintaining night vision.
