My newborn is warming up! She has fleece and cotton diapers, both of which make her sweat profusely, even though the house is cool. She's so hot she only wears a diaper, the jumpsuit makes her sweat. Like a typical newborn, she feels more secure when swaddled so I started looking for materials to use and came across muslin fabrics which are commonly used in New Zealand and Australia. After reading a few reviews about this particular brand I decided to buy their diapers even though it was a bit more than I wanted to spend. God I feel like the money was well spent! The material is soft and light and has survived several washes (newborns = lots of saliva and feces). I can keep her wrapped up all night and she won't sweat at all. Added bonus, these diapers are so large they double as car seat covers. It will be great in the summer when I want to protect them from the sun with something lighter than a blanket. I've added a few photos to give you an idea of what they look like on a real newborn.
