Review on PopSockets PopGrip - Sparkle Peacock: Collapsible Phone Grip and Stand with Swappable Top by Sean Florence

Could be better but could be worse

I've had this popsocket for a few months (after accidentally breaking my old one which was dated). I couldn't find one like mine so I went with this one after reading the reviews. I haven't seen anything else that looks better. I coated the glitter with a coat of clear nail polish to keep it from peeling off. It didn't reduce the color or gloss. I've added photos of the popsocket when it first came out and then a photo of how it looks on my phone now. You can see it's a bit worn. But the color is still lighter than it looks in the picture. Also, the glossy backing started to peel off and pull up, so I had to be very careful when raising and lowering it. I just taped it today so I hope it helps 🤞. It looks like the popsocket at the base is still securely attached to my phone. Another thing I want to mention is that this design feels different in my hand than the old one. Also, the old popsocket held my phone perfectly when fully lifted and laid flat. I placed this popsocket in the same spot on my phone as the old one, but it doesn't sit flat. This tilts the entire phone backwards so the top of the phone rests on a counter or table, rather than the entire phone being in the air and supported by a popsocket. I deal with this by finding something else to put under the other side of the phone to make it completely flat again, but this is annoying. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

  • Good
Cons
  • Good but not great
