I have an 85 lb Italian Mastiff who prefers to stay outside. He usually chews and ruins his beds. He's definitely lining his blankets and they need to be changed often. But he never touched his bed to destroy it. He seems comfortable and happy with it in both the summer heat and the cold winter. We are in the southern state where it is hot most of the year. It's big enough to fit on. So far (we've had it for a while) it hasn't gotten so dirty that I've had to clean it. Just shake off the dust. It stays in our covered store for him and is sometimes placed on deck for him to rest. My only complaint is that the contents inside have shifted with use and the bed is a little crooked. I haven't tried fix yet. Overall I give this one a thumbs up and would buy another.
