I've never seen a ceiling fan with a bracket that doesn't screw into an existing overhead control box. The manual says "concrete ceiling" or "wooden ceiling", but what about a plasterboard or plasterboard plank and ceiling? The bracket is sized so that the "wall anchors" easily tear through the drywall because they are so close to the ceiling box. I bought another bracket from Lowe that screws into the ceiling box and then I had to go back to Lowe to get the screws to attach the "dome" to the bracket because they weren't included. It took me 2 days to install, 3 trips to Lowe's and a lot of frustration. NOW I find out they are 'working' on an app to allow the iPhone to connect to the fan and suggest I try an Android phone at the same time. OK SEND ME ONE, I will not buy another phone that is not compatible with what I have now (3 iPhones, 3 iPads) just to get it to work with this fan. And I bought 2 of them! Now that I've finished this I should be able to do the other easily. Oh and full instructions in English would be nice, I don't read Chinese.
