Bates offers very comfortable shoes. I'm not in the army. I am a teacher who is always on the go. These shoes are by far the most comfortable I have ever worn. Now for the little things... I'm a slim size 8.5. This shoe turned out perfect. Although I have flat feet. I need plaster of paris orthotics in every pair of shoes I wear. The insole that comes with it needs to be removed to make my feet feel comfortable.
